I am trying to decide which holster to get.

I want IWB for appendix carry right hand, I Carry a XDS. I would like the v-hooks and the ability to tuck my shirt, so that in uniform nothing is showing. Horsehide wiuld nice, but not mandatory. I also need a good western style gun belt in a medium brown( must be medium brown western style to meet uniform regulations). I am bending a lot at work, and my current belt ( a gift from husband) has already begun to stretch and twist where the clip is from my holster. And my holster is of no real help either. I have seen similar holsters to what I am looking for on multiple sites, but am concerned that most are designed more for a mans figure then a woman's. I am short waisted and a few pounds fuller around the waist then I would like, working on that... I would like my XDS to carry just a bit lower then it is currently to stay away from my ribs when I bend.
I like the one on the well armed woman but it doesn't have the v-clips. The white hat ones are really cool, but meant more for men, versus crossbreed mini tuck, I think.
Is kydex more concealable then the leather ones from Hopps?

I am also looking at the belly bands for when I am not able to wear a belt. Leaning towards the 4" one on the well armed woman.

I can't really afford to buy a bunch of stuff that isn't going to meet me needs, so hopping for some input. Thanks.

Check out White Hat holsters!!! Crossbreed is great and all but if you have multiple guns you want to carry you'd have to buy a new holster for every gun. HOWEVER, theres a solution...WHITE HAT HOLSTERS have interchangeable kydex holsters. So just change out the kydex for the gun that you want to carry.

I quit wearing all of my Crossbreed SuperTucks once I got my first Comp-Tac Minotaur. Have since switched to using Comp-Tac Minotaur for all my carry guns.

I already ordered the crossbreed, I currently only have one carry gun. I ordered it 8.5 weeks ago and have heard nothing since getting receipt for payment which said allow 4 to 6 weeks. I went with the crossbreed because they have the Velcro system to make every part invisible, no clips or parts of clips showing. We will see if I like it if it ever shows up. I already bought the belt as a Second, but I am not thrilled with it. Where the buckle is, with it over lapping itself and a big buckle it sticks out from my stomach over an inch which is less then flattering and shows Under my shirt more then my XDS. You add the XDS in the appendix position i carry in and it REALLY sticks out. I don't know that it will be much better with the new holster... I find myself avoiding that belt now and going with a less niticeable one that is not as strong- I had been benn replacing the less strong one because I had nitice a slight stretch starting that allowed the XDS to rotate slightly away from my body. But even with that my carry is less noticeable then the bulge op the crossbreed belt.

Comp Tac (and a few other manufacturers) make belts with Kydex inserts. They stay stiff and won't twist or deform.

I know you said you already bought your holster but the Comp Tac MTAC (Minotaur) is a great holster. You can get "invisible" clips with velcro and get velcro on the inside of the belt to hold clips in place.

Also, TactiPac makes some IWB Deep Conceal holsters that have integral belts (velcro and elastic) that you can wear regardless of what clothes you are wearing. Their deliveries are 12+ weeks right now but good products once you get them.

I carry appendix, how does the mtac work for that position? I have heard the this type of holster does not work will in the appendix position, right hand side and draw.

I have a Galco King Tuck and it is very comfortable. I don't tuck in my shirts so I don't know about the "tuckableness". The belt clips on my holster are the standard "over the belt" clips that were on the holster. There are optional "c" clips that are a little less noticeable, but I'm not too worried. If I need to tuck my shirt in I doubt anybody would know what the clips are. Most people are oblivious.
Have you thought about a Kangaroo Carry holster? It is kind of like a belly band but holds the gun up a little higher. I have one and use it now and then. It is fairly comfortable, and does not print at all if I wear it tight under my arm. They are made in Houston; I'm always willing to support a Texas small business!

I've not tried it in appendix position but I would think it would be less than comfortable there if you sit during the day. I'm at work and not carrying at the moment so I'm trying to visualize how that would work with an MTAC. I don't think it would work well there.

Just my opinion. Maybe someone who's got one on (or handy) now could give you a better answer.

Well I finally got my appendix carry crossbreed with Velcro clips to go with the Velcro backed crossbreed belt.

I am very disappointed! I checked with crossbreed before ordering to make sure it would fit my needs and carry style and work with the Velcro belt I had already ordered. They said yes and charged me an extra 10 bucks to have it with a Velcro clip ( only one clip on the appendix holster).

It came in with the normal clip attached and a baggy with the Velcro clip in it. I was running out the door so I slipped it on with the normal over belt clip and a untucked t-shirt. It was very comfortable.

When I returned home I switched out the clip for the Velcro clip and attempted to put it on only to discover that the way they add the Velcro it does not come around the front enough on either side to work with the appendix clip position. On my left side the Velcro ends about one ich past my side- not even close to where a appendix is placed, on the right side ( the side I carry on) it comes around far enough to be only a inch shy of the clip position. I can tighten up to the last hole without the holster ( too tight with holster) which puts the Velcro in the right place but the Velcro comes over the last hole and does not allow the belt to properly buckle.

I spent a good chunk of money to get a appendix carry holster that would disappear when I am in uniform with a tucked class a shirt. I am extremely irritated and disappointed. I sent an email to their customer service, we will see what they have to say. I am concerned that it will not be good since I bought their belt on crossbreeds seconds since they said it would all work together.

I appendix carry my M&P 9c and rarely the full sized. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Comptac M-tac with the neutral cant designed for appendix carry. I started with a Tucker Texas Heritage and it was nice, but I am a convert to the combo (kydex/leather) now. IIRC the Comptac is horsehide backed, and seems to dry much quicker than the Tucker did. I also have an appendix combo rig by another manufacturer - (whose name escapes me, and they disappeared from the web presence) I think comfort carry by Durham for my Sig P238. LOVE it, and it has the same "tuckable clips" as the Comptac holster. I tuck a lot iwth both sidearms, even presenting in front of groups and no one has EVER noticed. I have had folks come and comment that they were surprised I wasn't carrying (this was a group of "gun folks") and I just had to grin and say "well ya' know". They assumed since I was tucked I couldn't be carrying. Was a simple tee too.

Remember if you are going to carry tucked, you need to practice your draw from tucked... WITH AN EMPTY SIDE ARM!

I looked at the comp tac m-tac, but thought it looked to big for appendix and would dig into my hip bone when sitting...not an issue for you?

Ok after much back and forth with crossbreed it turns out they sent me a left hand holster ( I think they mean left side) and I ordered a right side, right hand holster. Basically the clip is in the wrong place because the holster isn't supposed to go where I where it. At first they suggested I just switch and wear it on the left and cross draw. I suggested they send me the holster I ordered. They said fine, send back the one you have. I asked why I should pay shipping when it was not my mistake, they said ok, they would make an exception and refund my shipping costs if I sent them the shipping receipt as well as the holster ASAP.

All in all, at least they are taking care of it.

I just would have preferred a more proactive approach, and a return label paid for by them. some people are just never satisfied, right
