Help I dont carry because my holster shows imprint

I recently got a CHL i *try* to carry a springfield subcompact 40 with an out of the wait holster
(came with the gun)
How ever the top of the gun leans away from my body and you can clearly see an imprint of the gun through the shirt.
Thus far i hardly ever carry
This has been the reason i haven't been carrying since ive gotten my gun/CHL.
I purchased another holster today at the gun show and it still shows the imprint, same problem. The gun leans away from my body
Any one know who makes a out of the wait holster that wont show an imprint?

What is a out of the wait holster? Do you have a make and model number?

The "XD Gear" is adequate as a range holster but it's a far cry from a concealed carry holster.

I have $80 holsters and then I have this

I'm betting outside the waist band, OWB, riding a little low on the hip, and the same size shirt he has worn for years before getting a CHL and trying to conceal a gun.
Camaro, I would suggest maybe tightening up that belt one more notch and bring it up a bit so that the grip of the gun is tucked into that little space between your hip and lower ribs. And either one size larger shirt or another button type shirt that is one or two sizes larger than what you would normally wear. Then tuck in the first shirt to keep the gun from rubbing directly against your skin and cover it with the larger over shirt. This has worked well for me for over 10 years, but it is not the only method.

I am not familiar this particular gun, but from the pictures, it seems like C-dub's suggestions should work. My carry gun and rig is similar. The OP didn't mention his belt, but that may contribute to his problem.

I would suggest inside the waist being in our climate it just seems more practical right now. Fobus makes a good holster called Elite concealment, however I felt it is just too wide. Great in winter but not now. Try a crossbreed or a simpler set up until you know for sure. I can conceal a glock 19 at either 2 o'clock or 4 o'clock very easy with a button up shirt and even some t shirts. Got to be willing to dress around the gun. Some say iwb isn't as comfortable...carrying a gun should be comforting, not comfortable!

I'd suggest looking at someone like DeSantis
http://www.desantisholster.com/search-mfg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and click on Springfield to see if they make holster for your model and would look at their models 019 Mini-Scabbard; 023 Yaqui Slide or 086 Mini-Slide. I use the Mini-Scabbard in summer for my 740 Slim with oversized untucked shirt, but being OWB it still shows print at times depending on stance or movement although it holds the pistol close/snug to body. For concealment you'd be better off with IWB DeSantis 106 Sof-Tuck or a Remora holster. Just my two cents.

Hmmm. Could you ask someone else if they can easily tell you are carrying? Often times, one who is new to CC thinks it is obvious, but the sheeple have no idea.

A flimsy belt will also let an OWB droop away from the body.
I've said it so many times in this and other forums that I am like a broken record. A good quality gunbelt will make a crappy holster comfortable, but a lousy belt will make a good quality holster uncomfortable.
Get a gunbelt. Not just a heavy belt, an actual gunbelt sold as a gunbelt.

Getting a proper gun belt is important. Plenty of previous discussions on this topic; use the search feature for "gun belt"

I just picked up a Blackhawk inside the waist holster, I don't carry that much with my OWB, but I like the IWB. It conceals a lot better for my G19.
