Received a Crossbreed Supertuck that adjusts. Well thats good and Bad. Good that the thing is "comfortable" Bad that you have to play for a while. I guess thats half the fun right? Here is what i learned in trying to blend comfort and concealment after standing in front of the mirror and staring for top of the slide "corner" or the gun handle print. Either one is a problem in concealment.

Here is what i learned after "trying all holes" all the time:
[*] 4 holes and the higher up on the holes the lower it is buried in your pants - default from crossbreed is 2nd from bottom.
[*] Can't angle adjusted "forward" - is adjusted with right side of the holster holes being moved up , and or left side of holster being moved down.
[*] If the top of the kydex is below your pants the gun is hard to draw and replace (thanks captain obvious). But great concealment - but what good is concealment if you got to dig it out of your pants.
[*] When i had a large can't adjust 4 holes right side, and at bottom holes on the left - the slide corner when at the 4:00 position stuck out of shirts.
[*] I saw a website that helped me adjust the can't angle. Take your index finger make a gun like we did when we were kids. Point it down along your side, straight down. Move your finger gun from 3:00 to 5:00 (a bit harder to do beyond that) and that is your natural "can't angle" for ease of drawing.
[*] The perfect height seems to be pant or belt edge at the top of the kydex. Thats about as far as you want to bury the Kydex into pants for drawing weapon.
[*] If the height is adjusted to top of pants, then the cant makes a big difference with the print outline of the gun. I have a glock 23 which has a slide that is square edged and not a small gun. The more can't adjusted forward the more the print unless you move it back to the 5:00 or so position. That is where a big can't needs to be. See finger gun example.
[*] The Crossbreed default can't seems to be at the 4:30 or 5:00 position with 2 holes up from the bottom.

So what was my default best position for concealment after trying on a bunch of "T" shirts with shorts? What it came out of the box with, 2 holes up from the bottom on both sides at 4:30 to 5:00 position. I must be the standard type of guy 5'10', 180 lbs.

I had a blast trying to figure out this. Great holster for a Glock 23 Gen4.

Thanks for the details. When I got my first crossbreed I spent a while changing out the hooks to different holes for a while until I found what I liked. I honestly don't remember what mine is set at, I'll have to go look.

So now that you've got it set to conceal well, is it comfortable for you?

Its still breaking in - but its comfortable. Kind of strange in that for the 1st minutes of wear it is not, then the longer you wear it it is. The holster is still breaking in no doubt. Not sure how to speed that process up. Now that i have settled on a position for concealment - it should help the break-in. I was screwing around with it to much - ah, those wonderful adjustment holes!

I never even tried experimenting with the different holes, my Super Tuck seemed to sit perfectly right out of the box. I emailed Crossbreed when I first go mine about conditioning the leather. They recommended that if I did anything at all I should use Kiwi Leather Lotion, only on the outside of the holster, and "less is more." I very sparingly applied some lotion and that seemed to help it break in and definitely helped with the creaking sound it made. About two months later and I haven't even considered trying another IWB holster.

I actually took a couple of those furniture pads that you see to keep wood doors from hitting cabinets, etc and applied them to the metal clips where they got between metal and leather. That eliminated my "creaking" noises entirely.

I just ordered mine yesterday. I hope it is as good as people say. For those who have already ordered one, what is their typical deliver time frame?

Delivery time for me was 2 months December 2011, that still seems to be average across the internet.

I ordered mine on 2/29 of this year and received it on 3/21, right at three weeks. As far as I'm concerned it's the only IWB holster I'll ever need for my M&P. Did you order the combat cut option? I ordered mine without it but ended up sending it back to have them "add" the feature. It's much easier to get a full grip when drawing with the combat cut and you won't rub a raw spot on your thumb when you practice.

I just received my third Super Tuck today, it took exactly 3 weeks, it is the best IWB holster I have owned and I went through a few before I ordered one.

To break it in quickly, wear it and go do some yard work or ather task where you will sweat a bunch. The heat And sweat from your body will reall help break that thing in quick. The same for all leather holsters.

I ordered mine two weeks ago and got the ship notice today. I got one for my glock 23 since I have a white hat for my M&PC... it is a sickness....

I ordered a ST in mid March and it took about 4 weeks. I got the horsehide, no combat cut for 1911.
