Is this considered concealed or not concealed?

Ok, as a CHL in process for over 90 days I have spent some time looking for conceal equipment to kill time waiting. I just came across this truly unique item and would love to hear what everyone out there thinks. Is this concealed or not? The product looks to be of great quality and fantastic design. I think it's a really slick concept.

Looks like a conventional shoulder-holster to me. I own one but never use it. Worn as shown, it is not concealed. Worn under a garment properly, it can be concealed.

No not yanking anyone's chains, just bringing it to the forum's attention because I am just wondering how law enforcement will view this in the USA? This is a product is being pitched as a man-bag, from German a company, if you will it's a "leather gun-holster style case for your cellphone".

its meant to be worn on the outside .
i wouldn't do it .

Wow, I didn't even notice that. I just looked at the link and it looks like a pistol-shaped "man-bag" or whatever it is called. It seems to defeat the whole purpose of concealment to me. It might provide cover, but it doesn't provide concealment (to turn a phrase).

While it might be beatable in court, it would be tough IMO. I really think THIS ONE screams gun! They would probably charge you under 46.035 and you will have to prove it was not discernible by the average person, who were more than likely the ones that called in the cops in the first place.

I just bought two of these , they look like a binocular case, very well made. You can carry in your hand or on belt or by an optional sholderstrap.

A shoulder holster by any other name is still a shoulder holster.

I just bought two of these , they look like a binocular case, very well made. You can carry in your hand or on belt or by an optional sholderstrap.

I bought one of those, and it does work pretty well; but along those lines, I much prefer my Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack. It actually carries more, the gun is just as accessible, and it carries on a shoulder strap much more comfortably. Yes, you can get a shoulder strap for the Safepacker, but it isn't the same.

That said, the Safepacker works great inside a vehicle for making your gun easily accessible while still concealing it well.

Compare this (Safepacker) at $79.95:


to this (Versipack) at $69.99 — $10.00 less:


I can testify that both are well made and use quality materials, but about twice as much goes into the making of the (cheaper) Fatboy Versipack.

No matter what purpose that thing serves, if you put a gun in it, and walk around with it, it's open carry ,IMO.

And simply put, that is a stupid thing to do in Texas at this time. It's a class A misdemeanor under PC 46.035(a).

So even if there is NO part of the gun exposed or visible it is considered open?
