I ride a lot and carrying IWB in a Galco Stow n Go holster and sometimes in a Galco Ultra Deep Cover. I also carry in a Supertuck when I am not riding and have tried that out with the same outcome. The problem I am faced with, the wind blows my shirt up when I ride. I've had a friend ride with me and they told me that they can sometimes see the pistol. Even with the UDC, with a shirt tucked in, the shirt ends up being untucked by the wind. I've tried different carry positions, 3, 4, 5 SOB. 5 and SOB seems to reveal it even easier, since I tuck down when riding on the highways and the leather jacket rides up a little higher. "Gangster style" and 2 oclock seems to be the most uncomfortable but best for concealing. I am only looking for methods that would allow for easy draw, just in case. I suppose I can try the bellyband, but I don't really want to spend more money on something that wouldn't work. I am afraid of riding by a family in a van that freaks out and calls the cops because they saw a gun. I know I probably won't get into any trouble because it wasn't intentional but it is the hassle I would like to avoid.

Been awhile since I've owned a scooter - I usually had on a shoulder rig when on the cruiser. If I was on the sport bike sometimes I'd use a tank bag.

I'll give the tank bag a try. I was thinking about getting a shoulder rig, but since I wear a fitting leather jacket/suit, it would probably make it too tight. The jacket is perfect with a tshirt and long sleeves.

I Have a vest from Coronado Leather that has a concealment pocket that works great. However, sounds like you may be on a sports bike as you are fully suited up. In that case, a pocket carry or shoulder rig.

Yeah. It will be a month or 2 before I decide to pick up another pistol. I guess this might give me a reason to pick up a new gun. The should rig is something I'd have to ride to a store and try out while I have my jacket on to see how much tighter it will make things.

My sportbike leathers were pretty tight, in my situation a shoulder rig would've been pretty difficult, that's why I went with the tank bag. It had a magnetic base and a clip that secured it to the head tube. However, my cruiser gear is a different story, probably could put a sawed off 12 gage in there!

Yeah, my leathers are kind of tight also, which is why I will probably go with the tank bag route and pick up a small pistol for pocket carry next month or something. Either a Kel-tec or an LCP.

Doesn't your riding jacket keep your shirt tucked and cover the gun? If you have a gap between your jacket and pants you're going to have a bigger problem than failing to conceal if you go down.

I carry a Sig 230 in a DeSantis "Tuck This" when I ride and have never had a single problem with keeping the pistol concealed.

What do you ride and what do you use for cover?

I can conceal my 5" 1911 with nothing more than a t-shirt, without any problems either but i am on a Harley not a sport bike.

I don't think I would have a problem if I was on something other than a sportbike. I have a few friends who are on cruisers and they don't have any problems. Those guys are riding without a jacket and just a shirt. I guess the areo dynamics of a sportbike is just different where it causes your shirt to lift as many have probably seen when you see them on the streets. I do have another jacket that is text tile where it would probably cover it, but I worry more about my protection/safety, so I don't really wear anything but leather.

You must not ride, and if so, it must not be a sportbike with a fitted leather jacket. They don't make leather jackets us where it is 'long enough'. More than likely, if it is long to where it goes past your waist to help cover up a shirt, then it is probably too big. You'd do more damage to yourself in an unfortunate event of an accident if you're wearing something that doesn't fit you properly. IMO, I'd rather go down without a jacket/gear rather than something that is too big or small. Going down really isn't on the top of the list of my worries.

I know more than a few of my fellow Harley riders use a fanny pack for their pistols. I'm not carrying yet (still a Harris County statistic, 120 days and counting) but will use my fanny pack as well as the Crossbreed Supertuck.

Thanks. Maybe I can go out there and check that place out. The concealment belt could be an option I could try and maybe wear it a little higher.

I ride an '03 Honda VFR. I almost always wear a leather jacket when I ride, but I have carried on my bike wearing nothing more than a tucked in plain white t-shirt with no issue at all. Tuck your shirt over it, cinch your belt tight enough so you know it's not going to come untucked, and you're good to go.

I don't wear a cute fashion accessory that leaves my lower back and spine unprotected. When I ride I wear a full face helmet and a real riding jacket with soft armor that covers my assets. ATGATT.
