XD 9SC Holster....
XD 9SC Holster....
While I'm waiting on the plastic to arrive, I went ahead and bought my carry weapon, an XD 9SC. I plan on carrying IWB anywhere from 3:00 to 6:00(depends on comfort). Any recommendations on the better holsters for this carry position? I know I'll probably end up going through tons of holsters, but with some help from you guys, maybe I could avoid some of the bad ones. Thanks a lot.

I'd say it's about 99% impossible to land the "perfect" holster the first time, either because it is not exactly what you want or does not accommodate you for an all day carry situation. Nevertheless, if you're looking to start with the popular brands, this site seems to get its cheeks all rosy red whenever anyone mentions Comp-Tac or Tucker Gunleather. I rotate between a DeSantis IWB and a hand-made OWB slide, but that's just me. Best of luck.

Check out John Ralston at 5shotleather.com. He made an "Uncle Lou", (named after Lou Alessi), for my BHP that turned out to be the most comfortable holster I own now. I also had him do a matching belt and double mag pouch.
