Is there a store in the DFW area that has a good source of leather or kydex holsters for the Shield.

Check out D.M. Bullard (Azle)...

Not sure if they have a store you can visit but they show some M&P Shield holsters in stock. If they custom make one for you it's 16+ weeks. I got an IWB for my Browning Hi-Power from their in stock section and recieved it in less than a week.

If I was looking for Kydex, I'd go to Comp Tac (Spring TX)...

No store front but shipping custom orders in 8 days according to their website. I have their MTAC Minotaur for my XDm and it is an excellent holster.

***Edited to add website for Comp Tac***

Good luck...

Dave Bullard works out of his home....or rather, a workshop out behind his home....which is what he told me when I bought some products from him by phone a few years ago.

It looks like DM Bullard is the place to go. The have a In-Stock Dual Cary for S&W M&P Shield.

I still have to wonder which causes more wear on the pistol the Kydex or the leather. It appears to me a leather holster lined with something would be the bet. I like leather a lot better, but I it always seemed to wear hard on my best weapons.
