When I belt carry, I carry one or two spare mags in appropriately designed mag carriers on my belt. When I pocket carry—which is most of the time these days—I carry a spare mag/speedloader in my offside cargo pocket.

...one in clip-in nylon mag pouch at 1:00 IWB, two in a small nylon pouch in rear jeans pocket...lips up so my sittin' on 'em doesn't deform the lips...

100% Pocket Carry - 1911 Commander 8 rounder with an extra 8 ready to go - for me it is more comfortable than IWB magazine carry. Grab and go easy.
