Good flashlight?

Is this a good light? Also, is this a good place to buy one?

It looks like a fine light. The batteries are the only real drawback that I can see. Those batteries are expensive for one and they don't last very long for two. I do like the small size, though.

I like this little light. Another forum member turned me on to this a few months ago. It is a little bigger and heavier, but it runs on 3AA batteries much longer and throws out more light. I use it every morning and evening to let my dogs out and bring them in. I also use it any other time a flashlight is called for and I'm still running on the first set of batteries. Just for grins I tried a new set I've had when the first set dies and they're brighter, but not a whole lot.

Here's a nice one from Pelican for less money and it uses AA batteries instead of the expensive lithium cells. I've got two and I like them a lot for general flashlight use.

My life safety tactical light is still a Surefire.

If I had it do over again, I might go for #10 because it is 20 lumens stronger and has a switch in the tail.

I've used mine a lot and haven't run through the first set of AA batteries yet. The battery cost for some of those specialty ones is pretty high. I wanted something that was cheap to operate. After our dogs got skunked in our own fenced back yard, I search it with the light before we go out at night. That means I use it EVERY night.

That site is one that I buy a LOT of electronics and camera equipment, and I stumbled on their lights. If you buy from them in Texas, there's no sales tax too.

Wow! I was trying to stay south of $50, but for 200 lumens, and better yet, the re-charge in 90 seconds, I could be swayed.

How long does it last on a charge? I didn't see that on the description.

It is super compact, light weight, and very bright. It also has a pretty good throw distance as well. Unfortunately it takes the CR123A battery, but it is also fairly reasonably price.
The way the modes switch is very nice though.

C-dub, I've got 5 of those. Best flashlight for the buck I've found. They will light up a house from 2 blocks away.

If you want something very small for EDC, this is best I've found. 200 lumens out of device about the size of a 12-gauge shotgun shell. And as long as I don't in advertently turn on the light while it's clipped to my pocket, the battery lasts a good long time (but is an expensive CR123A). Fenix also puts out AA versions but haven't tried those.

Great value and easy to manipulate with one hand. Love my 4sevens quark, but working that little guy with one hand with glock in the other is a challenge.

Just FYI: these are getting mixed reviews from our guys on the street. I have no personal experience but based on what I've been hearing, I wouldn't ditch my streamlights to get one.


I think streamlight is one of the best values out there with fenix also making that list.

best two lights i own are the Fenix PD20 mentioned above and my pistol-mounted Streamlight TLR-1.
