I took Defensive Handgun 1 from Critical Defense Group near Greenville on Saturday. It was a great class with knowledgeable instructors and good facilities. I'm looking forward to taking DH 2 there soon. I'd recommend to anyone. They have many more classes including Tactical Carbine 1 & 2 and Tactical Shotgun 1 & 2 amongst others.
Also, if you take and pay for Defensive Handgun 1 you can take their CHL class at no charge. After taking Defensive Handgun 1 you can go back for the shooting portion to stay proficient for no charge if they have an open spot.
Not a bad drive from DFW, about an hour northeast. http://www.criticaldefensegroup.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Critical Defense Group
What were the instructors backgrounds, if you don't mind me asking? I really want to get some more training, but for personal reasons I'm wanting to get it from people with more military background than police.

Re: Critical Defense Group
Apologies for the delayed response, I didn't notice your post until today. Since writing this I've now been back four additional times. Their training is top notch and credentials are impeccable, you'll be hard pressed to find someone along these lines.dryfly wrote:What were the instructors backgrounds, if you don't mind me asking?
