$ is tight so can't afford some classes I want to so wondering if there are some recommended knife defensive classes in the North DFW. I don't carry everyday due to work but carry a knife more. Hopefully classes are cheaper than a firearm class also so I can afford. Looking for some training on offensive & defensive for knife fighting.

I was working on a syllabus for a defensive knife class. There is a lot of material to cover in a knife class so I would no expect the cost to be much less than a firearms class. With a knife class you would not have a large secondary cost for ammo or other supplies so that would be some savings.

For some excellent knife defense training, try Tom Sotis. Unfortunately, it does not appear he is doing any courses near DFW this year. He will be in Houston and Austin.

Sotis-AMOK" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;!) and there you may be able to find others in the DFW area who are willing to practice with you. Taking a course is good, it gives you things to work on, but to ingrain them, you need to practice them, and there is only so much you can do solo.

Krav Maga has knife defense training. I believe there are several Krav Maga schools in north DFW

It's got a good rep, but I haven't been there myself. Not sure of the price.

If you don't mind running over to Mesquite, you can't do better than Joey Mackie at Self-Defense USA. All three of my offspring studied combat hapkido under him. Great guy and fantastic teacher. Tons of LEOs have trained (and still do) under him.
