Anyone interested in firearm training at Vegas in December?

I'm going to Las Vegas again to attend either a 4 day handgun class or a 4 day shotgun class at the Front Sight training school. I will be driving there, so I wouldn't mind a couple of forum members to tag along to split up the cost of auto-rental, fuel, insurance, hotel, and others. In return of putting up with me for the week, you will get a certificate to attend training of your choice. I have two certificates so it's first commit, first serve kinda thing. You are more than welcome to PM me with questions and interest about this. The following is the classes the certificate allows you to take.

Certificates good for one person to attend a Four Day Defensive Handgun, Tactical Shotgun, or Practical Rifle Course. Two people may use the same certificate to attend a Two Day Defensive Handgun, Tactical Shotgun, or Practical Rifle Course.

Only the handgun and shotgun course is offered on December 8th, so I guess it's one or the other.

So, here's the summary:

The good:
Going to Las Vegas
Free firearms training opportunity (You still have to pay for ammo. lol)
Road trip?

The bad:
Going to Las Vegas
What's in Vegas stays in Vegas.
Cost of fuel, rental, insurance, and hotel split 3 ways.
Cost of food, ammo, and supplies
Have to take off of work for a week.

The ugly:
Going to Las Vegas
Stuck in a car with Kinny for 24 + hours one way.
Room with Kinny (if you choose for the week) Hahaha.
3000+ miles of driving ( We will take turns. ) lol.

Here is the schedule

I'm going to frontsight next week with some of my dirty, no-good liberal gun owning friends

I'll post a review when I get back, to add to the excitement! We're all excited as can be though.

I go to Vegas pretty often and I'll sahre w/ you some info that may save you some driving. There's an airline called Allegiant (http://www.allegiantair.com) that offers very, very cheap tickets from Killeen to Vegas (e.g. 9/16 departure $59).

Regarding Frontsight, I took one of their free submachine gun classes ~6 years ago. It was fun, buy they were also trying to sell me some timeshare kind of thing to their "resort". I resisted buying. Just a FYI.

Yeah, I heard about that too, but I didn't get any of that when I was there last year. Maybe they've changed their tactics? I don't know. lol. Thanks for the insight about the airline, BTW.

Just finally got back into town.

The 2 day handgun course was amazing. My shooting has improved 150%.
They do try the hard sell on their "First Family" training thing, which, if you have the cash, seems cool, but I wouldn't buy it.

At the end of the 2 day course, they have you in a home-invasion type of tactical scenario. Due to this, I feel 100% confident that if something went down, I could handle it.

Good stuff. I enjoyed it a lot, and I learned even more.

Thank you for the feedback on Front Sight. I am looking forward to it! Home invastion style scenario sounds fun. It seems they are getting more and more common. Take care.

Thanks for the feedback. And yes, if you don't plan to do this every year, I wouldn't buy this membership. I think they maybe in need of $$ so they maybe up on the sales pitch again. I have no clue. But regardless, it is a certificate to 4 days worth of training for free with no string attach. All we ask is for you to pitch in on car rental, hotel, and fuel. Anyone interested can contact me via PM. I have one more open spot.
