Learn simple and effective techniques to retain your handgun from someone determined to take it from you. Develop skills that will function under stress with reality based training and reflex building training drills. Skills developed in this course systematically dovetail with other workshop courses. Participants will learn the following:

• Understanding the Dynamics of an attack
• Legal Issues: Understanding the use of Force/Deadly Force
• Situational Awareness, recognizing and avoiding dangerous situations
• Increasing the reactionary gap of your opponent
• Create lag time necessary to apply other force options
• Dynamic Evasive and Disengagement Techniques
• Empty hand and intermediate weapons
• Devastating Stunning Tactics
• Disarming and countering disarms
• Minimizing the opportunities for anyone to attempt to take your firearm
• Securing your handgun from frontal, side & rear approaches, in holster and out
• Techniques for standing, kneeling & ground situations

This 8 hour course addresses the realities of a civilian/assailant encounter. Life doesn't always run according to plan and that concealed handgun may not be immediately available. Erwin Ballarta will teach you the vital techniques you'll need to buy those critical seconds needed to escape the encounter, access your weapon, or, if a fight is unavoidable, position yourself to gain the advantage and emerge victorious.
