First Formal Training Class
I'm interested in taking some formal weapons / self defense training. Up until now everything I've learned has been thru informal methods. Is the Hoffner Tactical Pistol 1 course a good starting point? I'm in my late forties and overweight. Located in the Houston area.

You will not get a better class for basic defensive pistol, Hoff is a great motivator, teacher, and has as much knowledge about the defensive arts as anyone in this country. Don't worry about your condition, drink plenty of water and if you need to you can take a break. If you need any more info pm me

I have my classes posted for the rest of this year under the Class Registration link.
On the Course Descriptions link you'll see all the classes I do.
You can e-mail me through that site.

top gun range downtown offers training as well if you are interested starting at 150 per lesson each one is a private one on one lesson with an instructor who will tailor the lesson to what you want to learn.
