I think this is the course for experienced shooters who want to become an instructor, yes? Not the basic pistol course for new shooters to learn.ghentry wrote:What is the fee for your courses? I have a coworker that I just got interested in shooting and this would be a good course for him. Also what is the fee on the Feb. class?

I will have $$$ worked out in a day or two ...
The class 1/21 is to turn people into certified NRA Pistol Instructors.
If you have had the Basic Instructor Training within the last 12 months you can attend.
I do have a Basic Pistol Class scheduled this year. Look at the schedule on ArGentTraining.com for a complete quick list. They are also on the PSC calendar, you have to go through month-by-month to see them.
As far as anyone who is interested in a Basic Class, I may also be able to schedule additional classes. Let me know, either wth a post or a PM, if you are interested.
Thanx,
TraCoun

Classes
The fee for the Pistol Instructor class is $ 75
I have a Basic Pistol class scheduled 6/17, but may be able to arrange one sooner if there is enough interest. I need 6 people to have enough.

Cancellation ...
Due to the fact that I only have one person signed up for the Pistol Instructor class at this point and I would have to order class materials today, I am cancelling the class.
If anyone is interested in attending at some later time please let me know, with a rough idea of when.

I've considered doing this in the past but wasn't sure where I would use it, I would, however, like to be kept informed of your class schedules and if you get more interest in doing the basic + instructors class i would consider attending.
Once one has the training, where does one do the instructing and to whom? (did i get those who's and whom's in there right?) I don't have a range and the range I use has plenty of instructors. throw me a bone, who would i then train if i became a certified instructor? Is there another reason for getting the training? I've already had a "Level 1" defensive pistol training class.

It would be up to you to find places to do the classes. As far as who you would train, NRA Basic classes are designed so you can take someone who knows nothing and get them to a point where they are safe and have basic proficiency.John wrote:Once one has the training, where does one do the instructing and to whom? Visit argenttraining.com or the NRA website and you can get more info on the individual courses - both the Basic and the Instructor classes.
