I just received this response to an email I recently sent to representative Bonnen concerning campus carry:

Greg Bonnen, M.D., District 24 wrote:Thank you for your recent email regarding SB 182, the Campus Personal Protection Act, that has been filed in the Senate this session. Your input is invaluable to me as I work to protect your Second Amendment rights at our State Capitol.

Please be assured that I fully support SB 182 and any other legislation that authorizes carrying concealed handguns on the campuses of institutions of higher education. As a testimony to my stance on this issue, I have co-authored HB 706 which contains the same 'campus carry' provisions as SB 182.

I assure you I will keep your thoughts in mind as I work to expand and protect your Constitutional right to bear arms.

I appreciate you taking the time and effort in voicing your concern. Should you have any further questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact my office.

If this passes, my girlfriend will be getting her CHL. She is primarily on campus throughout the day, and does not want to get a CHL if she cant carry 90% of where she is during the day. I really hope this bill passes. So glad to see a companion bill to the SB182!!!
