Hospital and churches are NOT off-limits to CHL'ers unless they are posted. Has he even read the law?Clarifying that locations which are prohibited under the Penal Code—bars, hospitals, K-12 educational facilities and churches, for example—will remain off-limits to CHL-holders even if they happen to be located on a campus.

If that is on the bill, then no problem. I was referring to the link provided by the OP which is a press release summarizing the bill. The text I quoted was cut and pasted from that press release. No need to be a negative nelly. Strauss doesn't call all the shots. We got the parking lot bill last session, MPA session before, etc. Think positive and maybe you would see there is a way to work around road blocks.
Unless you have a time machine we can't do anything about Strauss this session. If we do nothing we get nothing. A lot has been accomplished in the past when people thought it wouldn't get done. I guess he calls enough shots that it was important to get him out of office. Too bad we didnt', we might get more done.
