Just an FYI, Cheaper than Dirt has them on sale for $197.00, and will ship to your FFL (if they don't have a store near Houston).

I just saw the Cheaper than Dirt Sale on that Rifle yesterday.
Very cool idea. I need to pick up one of those.

Take a look at the Marlin 70 Papoose also.
Doesn't float, but it's a better takedown rifle.

Thanks guys, I'll take all of the responses into mind when I make my final decision on when and what to purchase when the time comes. Just recently picked up a LCP so might hold off on the rifle for the time being. I was trying to buy something that I could include in my survival kit/backpack that would be cheap to supply and inexpensive to practice with.

I'm hoping they will have one at the Lewisville Gun Show next week.
Would love to take a close look at it.

I bought one about 6 years ago for under $200 and I remember I bought if from Academy but had to be ordered. My kids (ages 8-12) really enjoy shooting it because it's light, compact and shoots quite nicely.

Thanks alot guys, I ended up going to Collectors and bought on there. Tried to calculate the price I would pay from buying it from Cheaperthandirt+tax+shipping+FFLtransfer was about or more than 260. Now I'm looking for more magazines. Anyone selling AR-7 extended clips? lol
