I have a new black KD Dakota Defender IWB holster for the 4" XD-45 and a new KD spare magazine holder. I had the same holster for my XD-40 and it is an awesome holster. The lead time on these holsters is approximately 16 weeks. With the long lead time I also ordered a Comp-Tac holster that I have since become attached to, so the KD is up for sale. I am asking $100 for the holster and mag carrier. I paid $90 for both and the shipping, so for $10 extra you can have yours today instead of in 4 months. I prefer to do a local sale (DFW area) but can ship if necessary. I am also interested in a partial trade toward a Bersa .380, Ruger LCP, or other small auto that I can easily conceal under a t-shirt in the summer. I forwarded this to a friend. Question - Will the XD.40 4" fit in that holster? I was under the impression all XDs of the same barrel length and grip length were essentially the same dimensions.

I don't know for sure. The length should be the same, however I think the .45 may be a little thicker. I will call Kevin at KD Holsters today and find out for you if they are the same.
