Going out of debt sale (Houston Area) [gone]
I really don't know where to start or how to even write this properly
I have had a few things come up in my life that has made me decide I need to change some things
A. Watching and following the Dave Ramsey principles and working to get out of debt
B. Actually kneeling down and talking to God and for once listening to what he wants me to do...even though I guarantee you I DON'T agree with his request I am going to follow thru to the best of my ability because its what he "wants" me to do
I guess I could go into a long schpeel about why I feel this is what I am supposed to do but I guess you guys say "forget that! Show us the deals"
So here goes
I am trying to pay off my debt and get rid of my guns per Gods request, I know that whatever God has planned for me the rewards and blessings will be more great than what I have now.
Currently I have
1. 2 Mac-10 Clones w/ Mags, hard cases, and 5 spare mags (I am flexible but would like a "package deal")
2. 5 Mosin Nagant Hex 91/30 w/ bayonet and oiler , I also have 2 sealed 440 round tins 1 opened tin (I will sell 100 rnds for $20, so you buy a rifle you can get 100 rounds for stupid cheap) [would also like a "package deal on the ammo if possible]
3. 1 WASR-10 AK clone, 5 mags, approx 300-500 rounds of ammo, LBV, whole shooting match [package deal please whats a pile of ammo with no rifle]
4. 1 Krinker Plinker 10/22 w/ 5-10 round factory mags, 2-25 round banana mags, a box or two of 500+ .22LR [package deal please]
5. 1 Ishapore Enfield (that I reconditioned from the ground up) .308 w/ 7-140 round South African battle packs [R1M1 berdain primered) stuff [I want to sell the rifle and loose rounds/stripper clips, the battle packs can either be sold with the rifle/loose ammo or separately but I would like to sell all as a package]
There you have it..I am getting rid of all my guns except a shotgun and my 1991A1 carry pistol for home defense..everything else is gone
PM me if interested
1. WASR - SOLD
2. 1 Mosin and 1 440 round tins - Sold Pending funds 3 Mosins and 1-440 and loose tin 100 rounds for $20 still available (maybe have 200 loose rounds)
3. 2 MAC-10 SOLD
4. Ishapore and ammo - SOLD pending funds

Ok...I will go ahead and put what I hope I can get
1. $400 for each (mag, hard case)and $25 for each of the extra mags (5x) (not counting the shipping and FFL fees)
2. $125 for each Mosin, I paid $100 each (actually I bought 10 for $1000 w/ shipping and taxes, ammo I paid $100 a tin and thats including shipping but not taxes)
3. $700 for WASR, mags, rounds, lbv (I paid approx $40 for the vest and $400 for the rifle, and like $15 per mag and $230 for the 1/2 case of rounds about a year ago) (not counting taxes on the vest or the ammo)
4. $400 I paid $365 for skin, $50 bucks for the 5-10 rounders, and $30 bucks for the clear 25 rounders (not counting shipping, or taxes)
5. $300 It shoots Nato or even the .308 and would make a GREAT deer rifle! (I paid $170 for the rifle, I personally stripped the stock and metal down, refinished it [parkerized]and bedded the action I have still yet to boresight or adjust the sights, I bought all the R1M1 rounds and they are still sealed in the packs I have approx 100 rounds and 20 NATO 10 round stripper clips) I am asking $70 for each pack [I would like to sell them all in one fail swoop [7x])
I really do apologize..I really should have put up the prices I "expected" to get
-edit- oops forgot the Mosins

I am sorry you need to sell your guns, there is nothing I can help with in this area. However, as for your conversion... be diligent, and bless you! ![thumbs2 :thumbs2:](./images/smilies/thumbsup2.gif)

No no..you all misunderstand..I am NOT broke..I am NOT destitute...I admit it was kinda hard from time to time, but we are FAR from living under the bridge..Me and my wife started watching Dave Ramsey (in fact I am probably fairly good compared to some)...instantly when we applied his baby steps and started a budget it felt as if I got a 50% raise...INSTANT MONEY...then going to church and deciding I really needed to just pray...actually pray and listen (to get past that 6 months Cristian thing [I have been a Christian all my life..I have just never been a "good" Christian])..and a feeling came over me and I got a word sense to "sell your guns" not a physical word..but a "feeling" an energy and I knew that it wasn't my thinking..I would NEVER EVER just come up with "sell your guns."thankGod wrote:I am sorry you need to sell your guns, there is nothing I can help with in this area. I knew right then that I had to do this to really know peace, or at least start my journey (I gave cigs up cold turkey after about 18 years of smoking 1.5-2 packs a day) when I finally decided to literally give them to the lord instead of hang on to them while asking the lord to take em...no I had to want to give em up 1st, it wasn't and still isn't easy..but I did it and haven't smoked in 6 weeks)
I guess what I am saying is I owe my wife and kids a change..I am and have always been short tempered with them (I treat the cats and strangers better than I treat my wife and kids..how sad is that!?!?) and have failed in my duties as a man and a father and need to pick up the pace or get out of the way....this is the only way I know how and as Dave Ramsey (and countless others) said you find those that are doing what you wish you were doing and learn how they did it..well all the guys I see who have great families and happy kids the 1st thing they do is get God...and I have to get God...and God told me to sell my guns..that's step 1..I guess thru further prayer and clawing my way I will get step 2 and step 3 and so on and so forth..but I gotta be willing to take the 1st step happily (even though deep down its "reaaly reaaaaly hard to let go of my guns)
Gotta start somewhere right?

Re: Going out of debt sale
No the reason I put the Krinker skin on it is someone had butchered a stock 10/22...in fact it was illegal until I destroyed the chopped barrel (someone hacksawed it off to like 10 inches..so I pulled the barrel and bandsawed it into 2" chucks then disposed of it) and tossed the pistol gripped out stock. So it was buy a kit with a barrel and go from there or try to piece together a target 10/22..the Krinker looked tacticool so I jumped on it....wasn't a "cheap" decision either..uggh!dover338 wrote:Where are you located?

Here is the stock photo
Mine is the one on the bottom...but I have a cheap $50 Russian scope mounted on the rail

Dave Ramsey is a financial counselor, national radio host, and New York Times best selling author. His program follows a series of baby steps for getting out of debt and building wealth.
1. $1,000 to start an Emergency Fund
2. Pay off all debt using the Debt Snowball
3. 3 to 6 months of expenses in savings
4. Invest 15% of household income into Roth IRAs and pre-tax retirement
5. College funding for children
6. Pay off home early
7. Build wealth and give!

Re: Going out of debt sale (Houston Area)
P.S. It works..in just 2 months of following his plan...we are going to have all our credit cards paid off, by May...be completely debt free, in around 1 year (which is pay of the $19k 401k loan I took (which he says is a stupid idea...and I believe him now!!![which will give me a $600 a month raise!!!!!!])) and will be able to fund a long term retirement (that is if the USA doesn't go socialist or get nuked by Iran or something crazy) I will be able to live like I am working this 65K a year job till the day I die..in other words making my money earn me a living..instead of living to make my money which seems to go bye bye way to often!KC5AV wrote:Dave Ramsey is a financial counselor, national radio host, and New York Times best selling author. Re: Going out of debt sale (Houston Area)
No kidding. Last year my wife and I paid off $10k in debt (which included my truck - 2 years early), and replaced her car (which was totaled in a wreck) with cash. We are still a few years from being debt free, but we are working on it. I have nothing but respect for the people who make the sacrifices necessary to follow his plan. Keep up the good work.WarHawk-AVG wrote:P.S. It worksKC5AV wrote:Dave Ramsey is a financial counselor, national radio host, and New York Times best selling author. Re: Going out of debt sale (Houston Area)
Paying off debt early is good if we don't go into a deflationary spiral like some economists fear. Even then it's good to be free of credit card and other high interest debt. Best of luck WarHawk!
