I have done a little looking around and found a Walther and Kahr, but I don't know much about the history and dependability of the Kahr. Any input would be appreciated.

Bought one for my daughter and carried for a while before the next time I visited here out of state.

Quite happy with it (or the G30 which will itself disappear even under a T-shirt with the proper holster).

The Glock-30 is my daily carry as well.

have to chime in with the Glock 36 which i just picked up last week - first range trip was flawless - a fine slimframe 45acp option !!!

The Walther PPS comes in 9mm and .40S&W. It is by far the slimmest pistol I've ever seen in a caliber that starts with a four.
(I thought it was a little bit ugly, ungainly looking, but it didn't feel too bad in my hand. Never actually fired one.)

BTW, I was looking for pistol slimmer than my double-stack .40. That lead me to look at single-stacks which took me straight to 1911s, which eventually lead to me buying the Kimber Utra CDP II.
You can get thin grips for a 1911 to slim it down even more. The thin grips are normally seen as something for people with smaller than average hands (my hands are average, at most, and I love the slimmer grips), but can also aid in making it more concealable.
