So I am forced to sell it after only 40 rounds

- Rear sight: National Match hooded aperture, adjustable, 1/2 minute windage and elevation.
- Trigger: 2 stage military trigger, match tuned, 4.5-5 lbs

- Length: 44.3"
- Weight: 9.8 lbs

- 1 x 10 round parkerized factory magazine
- 3 x 20 round magazines, two of which are "W" marked mil-spec. Third one unmarked.

This rifle is wonderful! I've only put 40 Black Hills 168gr Match HP rounds through it (The empty brass are shown in the photos - no ammo is included with the sale). The rifle was purchased new in February.

I lived there for a while (3.5 years), right in Manhattan. And I grew up in NYC's ideological sister, California.sixline wrote:haha I wish

I wish I had the money. I've got an M1A Loaded, and I think it might be my favorite rifle.

Unfortunately I don't have a choice on moving or not. But I do like NYC. I have family in Midtown and Brooklyn, so I am very familiar with the lay of the land. The only thing that sucks is I have to get rid of some of my firearms
So, anyone want to buy this?

Yah, I want to. I just can't. But I will say this for anyone else's sake...sixline wrote:Unfortunately I don't have a choice on moving or not. But I do like NYC. ...if you don't have an M1A, you don't know what you're missing. These are amazing, accurate, and reliable rifles. And the National Match versions bring it to a HNL ('hole 'nother level). Plus, it is just hard to beat the .308 cartridge loaded up with a 168 grain Sierra Matchking. Whoever steps up to buy this rifle is getting an heirloom quality weapon and will never regret the decision to buy it.
Step right up, ladies and gentlemen!

I may be sending you a PM. Keep an eye out. :)
If I had a gun for every ace I have drawn, I could arm a town the size of Abilene.

Re: WTS Springfield M1A National Match Stainless barrel Waln
Just curious.
What about the rifle makes it illegal to have in New York?

It is classified as an "Assault Weapon" under NY law and not allowed in New York City. New York state has different laws I believe, but in the city I am OutOLuck.

Sorry about about the riffle. If I had the extra money it would be gone.
Plenty of other things to do in NY besides shooting. How about sailing????? Could I interest you in a Blue Water proven Alberg 30??? Located in Dead Horse Bay. The subway takes you to it!
My uncle lives in Queens and he's got a small arsenal and reloading equipment in his basement. Mainly hunting riffles and shotguns. He used to hunt in upstate and skeet shoot in Long Island. Just so you know that you don't have to go without the smell of burnt powder if you don't want to.
Enjoy the city, one of this country's greatest!
Cheers.

Haha, thanks LuvinTX, I will enjoy the city for sure. And those Alberg 30s are nice boats! A buddy of mine in Florida had one and we sailed to the middle keys a few times.
I just lowered the price to $1800 to move this thing quickly, and updated it in the original post, so if anyone's on the fence, make the leap!
