WTB: 1911 Sub/Ultra Compact
Looking at all possibilities with 3" - 3 1/2" barrel Springfield, Kimber. Others considered too. I prefer lightweight in .45 or 9mm. Not seeking recommendations, just looking for guns for sale. Thanks.

Got a price range? I just went through picking my first 1911 and looked hard the micro compacts etc. SA GI micro at $500 range to fully loaded at $1100 or so. Kimbers and others range from there and more.

I've looked at 'em all. Not looking for a 5" though.

Try a Rock Island compact (cs) model. 3 1/2" barrel, 1911 in .45 cal.
This one's mine:
If you're in the Dallas area, there's a gun show in Mesquite this weekend and you can probably find one. Mine was under 400.00 2 years ago.

Re: WTB: 1911 Sub/Ultra Compact
Thanks. Looked at those plus the SA GI compact. I prefer the lightweight aluminum frame models, as they are usually 7-8 oz lighter and easier for me to carry. Been out to Mesquite many shows lately, and found compact 1911's few and far between, and those that were there were overpriced IMHO. Although I got some great deals on other gunsdadoo wrote:Try a Rock Island compact (cs) model. 3 1/2" barrel, 1911 in .45 cal.

Do you have a firearms dealer you normally deal with? I do a lot of searching and always give two local dealers I give my business too and then one out of state dealer I have used for a good while now. I try to buy from them first even if for a bit more cost and then if they tell me if they can get it or not. If they can't and I find a good deal elsewhere, I have it shipped through them. But I believe in developing a partnership with service providers such as them and help them as they will always help you. I can provide you their names and contact info if you like. I just ordered and in the process of getting two 45acps now. One directly with one and one shipped from elsewhere to the other. I will be getting another item in the next few weeks and it will be with one of them regardless. One is the 1911 and the other an XD45c.

Re: WTB: 1911 Sub/Ultra Compact
I have bought all my guns locally, from dealers, new and used. That's my preference too. I have a nice 1911 sub compact (SA Ultra Compact) and was looking at possibly getting another for carry. I'm in no hurry, but if the right deal for a used 3" Kimber or SA came along, I'd consider it. Not looking to order a new one. That's why I posted. Thanks for your offer of assistance.

I have a Para P12 for sale. Pistol, 3 mags and holster for $400.
Ben Franklin once stated that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. I tend to agree with him.

Thanks, but I'm looking for single-stack and lighter weight.waynev wrote:I have a Para P12 for sale. Pistol, 3 mags and holster for $400.
