I believe a "straw purchase" would also require intent. If you know she is a felon and cant buy one then it might be illegal but your reason is entirely ok. I wouldnt mention in front of a dealer as they dont know the law like they should sometimes.

Thanks all for the input. I shotgun is sounding better to me but she likes the by the bed lock box idea and something she can carry in the house. Question, arent Hydra-shok supposed to stop before over penetrating walls even in .45 ACP?

All hollow points are supposed to expand and dissipate their energy faster before over penetrating, but they are still designed to go 10" into human flesh - that is a lot of sheetrock. So yeah, they are better than FMJ, but you still can't count on them being perfect. Anything that will be stopped by sheetrock won't get the job done when it needs getting done. So you need to be mindful of that, but don't let it stop you in the end.

Thank you Rex, It's nice to see that some people still support us. Alot of people don't support the Soldiers as they think this is OUR war not realising we are just following orders seeking out those who would try to lay waste to the greatest country on earth. I leave 2morrow and will be gone awhile, just wanted to thank the forum for all the ideas. Thank you for you support.

Brian

Good luck Brian. Keep your head down, check in to the forum when you can, and return safely after your tour.
