WTB Ruger 10/22

#1

Post by wrightcrew »

I'm interested in a Ruger 10/22 for my son. Not really looking for anything tricked out -- just something basic for him to start with. I'm in Fort Worth -- prefer FTF.

I know you're looking for a Ruger, but Academy has a Savage .22 with scope for $120.00. Just sayin'

I'll ask the obvious. Have you checked at Wal-Mart?

Plain, basic 10-22's are bringing $250 at gun shows. I think you can still get them at Wal-Mart for under $200.

Also, they will order a gun for you and have it in a couple of days.

And watch sales flyers for Bass Pro, Cabelas, Gander Mountain and any other chain in your area.

Does Wal-Mart still sell guns? I went to three Wal-Marts in the past two weeks and only one sells ammo. None of those three sell guns.
We're here. With gear. Get used to it.

Several of them still do. I know those close to me still have a supply on-hand.

Academy sells the basic 10/22 for $185 +tax.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961
