WTB - Kel Tec Sub 2000
Glock 19 version. I can't find one of these anywhere. Does anyone have suggestions?

Of note, you can buy a G17 version and trim back the grip to fit the G19 magazines. While not for everyone, it is just polymer. Careful work with a dremel can knock it our in not much time. Just another option if you run across the G17 model.Soccerdad1995 wrote:Glock 19 version. I can't find one of these anywhere. Does anyone have suggestions?

I'd take either. I already have three G17 magazines (extended to 19 rounds) and six 33 round extended magazines. So if my four G19 mags don't fit, big whoop.

Thanks. I will keep this in mind. Unfortunately, I can't find any G17 models either, so this is kind of a moot point at the moment.goose wrote:Of note, you can buy a G17 version and trim back the grip to fit the G19 magazines. I don't see your location, but there is one listed in San Antonio. No affiliation with the seller.Soccerdad1995 wrote:Glock 19 version. I can't find one of these anywhere. Does anyone have suggestions?

Re: WTB - Kel Tec Sub 2000
So is there a stamp or something on the gun saying which model it is, or do you just have to try out different mags to see what fits?

Just above the mag release button on the left mine says G17/22 Mag and mine is a G17. I would assume the Glock 19 mods say G19/?.RossA wrote:So is there a stamp or something on the gun saying which model it is, or do you just have to try out different mags to see what fits?
The only consistent source of these rifles seems to be gunbroker (where I got mine). I haven't seen at Academy. I do like mine and have had no problems. If you do a search on gunbroker you need to use different variables such as SUB-2K9, sub2000, etc.

Go to Academy. Ask for the gun people to search for it at other stores. They will find one in stock and have it transferred to your Academy for free. The transfer takes about 2 weeks, and they will call you to pick up your rifle.

I don't own any Glocks, so I don't know the difference between the 17 and the 19. Why would one model of Sub 2K accept some mags but not others? I have a Glock mag Sub 2K, and some Glock mags for it, but I don't know whether they are 17 or 19. If I ever get more mags, it might be helpful to know which is which.

The G19 mags are a little shorter (15 rounds) than the G17 mags (17 rounds). Thus, while G17 mags fit in G19 magwells, the opposite is not true. IT works the same on the Kel-tecs that use Glock mags. You can always shorten the grip of the Kel-Tec with a dremel to allow the G19 mags to lock in if you have a G17 model.
I personally only buy G17 spare mags for my Glocks. I have 3 G19 mags and 3 G26 mags that came with the pistols. When I carry Glocks, I carry a G17 spare mag for extra capacity, and the G17 spares are what I usually use at the range.

So you have a sub 2k? You don't know if it is a 19 or a 17? See my response above at least for gen 2 versions. I can't speak about all hand sizes but I have a medium-small hand and the 17 version fits perfectly. I think the 19 for me would be short. I use Glock 17 and Glock 18 (33 rounders) in mine. All will fit in my Glock 26.RossA wrote:I don't own any Glocks, so I don't know the difference between the 17 and the 19. Why would one model of Sub 2K accept some mags but not others? I can't find any markings on my Gen 1 except the caliber (40 S&W). I suppose if all else fails an email to Keltec with the serial number might get you the info.rotor wrote:So you have a sub 2k?
