Texas Firearms Coalition Podcast Has Launched

The Texas Firearms Coalition Podcast has been launched with five episodes. Actually, the episodes have been on
http://www.TexasFirearmsCoalition.com for a few weeks now, but I didn't want to announce it until it was available in the iTunes store. I need to get it launched on other podcast aggregators like Stitcher.
If you have any questions you'd like me to cover or topics for the show, please post them here, or email
Podcast@TexasFirearmsCoalition.com. Remember, the podcast will reach people who are not regular readers of the Forum and likely will not be as current on our issues.

Great work, Charles. I did not expect to learn so much about the history of CHL/LTC in Texas. It's a well done podcast, and I hope it spreads far and wide.

Thank you for all your efforts, Charles! This is very Informative.
One item of note, the link to SB60 in the notes for Episode #2 is actually linked to HB1776 on the TLO site.
Keep up the good work!

Listened to the first episode this morning.
That was a well done and very informative podcast.
Love the intro music and language.

Charles, thanks for this!
However, the RSS feed URL listed for non apple/android users leads to a 404 (page not found) error page. Do you have a better URL?

I too noticed the busted feed. I subscribed on my iPad, and I have logged into my windows install so I could use iTunes and leave a review. One of the best things you can do is leave a 5 star review on iTunes to help boost the popularity of the TFC podcast.
While Charles has not asked anyone to do so, I am asking that you go out there and PLEASE leave him a 5 star review on iTunes. It takes a little while to get these reviews posted so don't be surprised if you see there are none listed, I know there is at least 1 pending.

Okay, I'm going to show my lack of knowledge about these links. You can listen on a browser at
https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/tex ... 1091368277.
You can also find them here
You can also listen to them on
www.TexasFirearmsCoalition.com and click on Podcasts in the menu.
Where are you getting the bad link? I'll try to fix it.
Thanks,
Chas.

Thanks, I fixed it, but the legislative site has a problem and I cannot confirm the new link. I'll try again tomorrow.

Your feedburner link is the problem link I observed (
http://feeds.feedburner.com/texasfirearmscoalition/BQtm). I also have to say great content, very polished sound, but I have to ask(I hate to talk shop), what kind of compressor hardware/software are you using? I ask because I almost missed it being used, but I can barely hear it.

Hi Charles,
Here's the page with the bad hyperlink:
https://www.texasfirearmscoalition.com/ ... p/podcasts
Grey box on the right side of the page named "How Do I Subscribe?"
The relevant paragraph:
"For podcast enthusiasts – If you already listen to podcasts and have a podcatcher that you prefer, the feed you’ll need to add
http://feeds.feedburner.com/texasfirearmscoalition/BQtm to your podcast client library of podcasts."
The hyperlink in that paragraph "
http://feeds.feedburner.com/texasfirearmscoalition/BQtm" leads to a 404 page.
Heres a hyperlink that produces the RSS for the podcast:
http://texasfirearmscoalition.libsyn.com/rss

I fixed the link. I decided to use Libsyn for everything.
The compressor/gate/limiter is a Behringer Pro-XL MDX4600. I'm still learning it, but that's obvious. I also use Audition for post, but I'm trying to minimize that as much as possible.
I'm using a Mackie Pro FX12 mixer with a ATR2100 mic. I'm going to get a Heil PR40 and use the ATR2100 as a guest mike.
What compressor are you using?
Chas.

I actually use the same compressor, we may have to compare notes some time because you have yours dialed in better than any other I have heard. In fact our equipment is extremely similar. I run a ProFX16 board, Samson Q2U mic (Same internals as the ATR2100 in a different housing).

Link is working now. Thanks!
