Two burglars blowed up.

Two 21 year old burglars were killed when they attempted to open a safe with a torch and ignited the commercial grade fireworks inside the safe "causing a massive explosion"

Considering this was Boston. The owner of the business was very contrite and grieving for friends and relatives of the "men who were on the property without permission".

No doubt criminal charges will be filed against the owner for something.

Blowed up! - Hilarious!

So, the safe owner felt it necessary to grovel for the criminals relatives?

So, if we in Texas have to defend ourselves from a lethal criminal with our firearms are we to send a Hallmark card or flowers to the relatives of the criminal?

Political Correctness is a form of leftist insanity...

He probably only said that because if I understand the story right one of the burglars was a former employee so maybe he knew the family. If you ask me Newton's law was in effect, if you use a blow torch to open a safe full of "explosives" you get blown up end of story. :biggrinjester:

Yeah, I really don't accept the 'fireworks' line they threw out.

This had to be a safe full of explosives.

The thing I am concerned about for the owner is that the safe did not appear to have the proper explosive placards on the safe. The safe, could count as a storage magazine for the explosives, but the distance requirements from occupied buildings appear to have been violated.

Looking at the safe it doesn't appear that he had anything stronger that black powder. The Brisance of the explosive and mechanism of detonation appear to be consistent with a low explosive.

I hope that commons sense comes into play when deciding if any criminal charges are filed. The civil suit will be filed.

Wasn't it the Chinese who supposedly billed the families of executed prisoners for the cost of the ammunition?
