The author of the article might be just a little bit on the dense side. Here's the last sentence from the article: "How this happened is anyone's best guess, since routes for government-sanctioned parades are designated gun-free zones by Louisiana law." :roll:

Spent much of my life around New Orleans. A "5 people shot today" story was not all that uncommon. Not so much in Jefferson parish though. Nobody messed around in Sheriff Harry Lee's neighborhood. No telling how many gang bangers were beaten half to death before they were thrown back into Orleans parish.

I met the "Chinese Cowboy" while assisting a nephew and niece in law return to their home in "His Parrish" after Katrina.....I'm glad I was an over weight, middle aged white guy. just sayin...
