The media will have a field day, especially when they say a military rifle was invovled. This is just what the media needs to fuel their agenda.

Aren't you jumping the gun a little? The story doesn't even mention weapons. Furthermore it occurred in a rural home. The stories of young teenaagers killing their families is all too commonplace these days. I don't think this will feed the flames at all.

I saw the news story on Tv as well. They were stating a military rifle and wouldn't say more then that. Could be media jumping the gun, we'll see.baldeagle wrote:Aren't you jumping the gun a little? Here's a story from a less liberal media source - http://www.newser.com/article/da3u68481 ... stody.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Then there's this:
Note that it doesn't say the rifle was used, only that it was in the home.Investigators also were trying to determine who owned several guns that were found at the home, one of which was a semi-automatic military-style rifle.
Then there's this:
IF that's a quote (and it's questionable that it is), that's quite helpful to the media's case. (Which is why I suspect the quote is manufactured.)Peter Gomez, a 54-year-old carpenter who lives about 200 yards from the home, said he saw police vehicles and ambulances arrive Saturday night.
Gomez said he doesn't know the family that lives at the house, but he has seen a married couple and their two boys and two girls from time to time.
"It's a horrible thing," Gomez said. "You see all this stuff that happens all over the country, the shootings in the schools and theaters, and then it happens right here. It's sad."

Notice that they don't know for sure that the AR 15 was used to do the killing? Not that it matters to them. It fits the template.Here's what we know for sure: a family five were found dead in a house in a secluded area just outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday night. The bodies included an adult male, and adult female, one juvenile male and two juvenile females . An unidentified 15-year-old was arrested and charged for killing all five people. Several weapons were found inside the house, including a military style assault rifle. Police officials wouldn't disclose any relation between the shooter and the family or any of the identities, either.

Very sad. According to the neighbor 4 kids and two adults lived at the house. Two adults and 3 kids dead.
Looking like one of the boys is the shooter. Very sad.

I cannot wait to find out if the perpetrator was taking mind-altering substances, either legal or illegal...if we want to find out, we are going to have to be vigilant in checking all the stories because they'll probably mention it once and then never again, if they mention it at all...it seems just about every one of these mass-killers were on SOMETHING when they did, or had been on something prior to doing, their heinous deeds. If you've never looked up the "side effects" of stuff like Prozac, Paxil, or Zoloft or the other drugs like those, go ahead...it ain't a pretty list.baldeagle wrote:cheezit wrote:yup didnt take long.

Re: 15 year old in NM shoots 5 - here we go again
I know a lot of people don't believe in God these days and even fewer still believe in the Bible, but an eye-opening study is to lookup the Greek word pharmakeia in the Bible and Greek literature. It's always translated sorcerer or witchcraft in the Bible, but its roots are in drugs and drug abuse. It is, of course, the word from which pharmaceuticals is derived. The Greek word was associated with drugs and drug abuse. Pyschopharmaceuticals often open the door for evil to come in to a person's life (as should be obvious by the many anecdotal stories of their use leading to bizarre and deadly behavior.)K.Mooneyham wrote:I cannot wait to find out if the perpetrator was taking mind-altering substances, either legal or illegal...if we want to find out, we are going to have to be vigilant in checking all the stories because they'll probably mention it once and then never again, if they mention it at all...it seems just about every one of these mass-killers were on SOMETHING when they did, or had been on something prior to doing, their heinous deeds. Re: 15 year old in NM shoots 5 - here we go again
by definition it is not a mass murder, assuming it was done by a family member.
mass murder definition : random slaying of 4 or more people that have no connection to the perp.
