Last night while you were watching an abysmal national championship game, a young father used his CCW to shoot a robber threatening him and his son.
"COLUMBUS, Ohio --
Columbus police detectives are investigating a robbery that led to a shooting on the city's west side Monday night.
Columbus police officers responded to the 3000 block of Crescent Drive on a report of a robbery in, and a shooting at about 8:45 p.m.
According to the police report, a man told officers he was defending his 2-month-old son when he shot a suspect who robbed him at gunpoint in the driveway of his west Columbus home Monday night.
Detectives tell NBC4 34-year-old Kelby Smith was exiting his car with his infant son, when he was approached by an unknown male. He told police the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded money. Smith said he set son’s car carrier down and knelt to shield him from the gunman. As the suspect put the barrel to Smith's forehead, Smith handed the him a small amount of cash."

Your title could be clearer. My first impression was that the robber had the CCW.

You know you can always edit your post.
This happened about 3 miles from where my oldest son lives and 2 miles from the largest gun show in Columbus.

Wait. there's more! It gets better!
According to police documents, as the suspect was fleeing, he continued to point the gun back at Smith and his son. Smith, who is a carrying a concealed weapon (CCW) permit holder, pulled his firearm and shot the suspect while defending is son and himself.
"I think I hit him. When I shot, he felt to the ground crying," Smith said in a 911 call.
The suspect was still able to flee the scene, according to police.

When you read the story at the link, you see that your title was accurate, and correct.
The man defended his son, had a CCW, the robber is in the hospital according to the story!
Been better at the morgue, but, hey, the kid is safe, the dad is safe, and it is all perfectly legal!

I feel for you...I'm surprised the left hasn't tried to ban SEC football. It's just not fair. After all they have won 2/3 of the BCS championships including the last 8 and 9 of the last 10. I expect some sort of legislation is forthcoming,
Did you know that NCAA football already has a playoff system? It's called the SEC regular season.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

If only you were joking. Unfortunately, google Obama and BCS and it was one of his big goals a couple years ago... While the country was in the midst of a recession, he was worried about college sports and congress was busy trying to figure out if baseball players take steroids...

Wouldn't surprise me if he revisited the issue before he leaves office.
