Police say the three teens were threatening people the area with an empty gun.

Which stupid?
The three criminals committing aggravated assault?
The government wasting resources looking for the person who shot the three criminals?
The mis-reporters calling the criminals victims? (Maybe that's malice and not stupidity.)
