SPRINGTOWN — The welcome sign above James Gerow's bedroom door took on a different meaning just after midnight Tuesday.
"We are in there sound asleep and we hear the door pop," he recalled.

LMBO!
The bad guy calls 911 for help. Obviously, not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

ROTFLOL!!!! This is classic! "911... I broke into a house and they had guns! You should protect me..."

Give me a break! He's extremely lucky the homeowner asked him "What are you doing in my house?" Twice!

I wish they would have explained how the perp got from the hall, to inside his truck. That part of the story would have been very differet for him at my address... :fire

"He’s going to shoot me."

"No, he’s not going to shoot you. Just don’t move. Just don’t move."

"It’s a joke, right?"

"It’s a joke? Is that what you’re saying?"

"It’s gotta be, right?"

"No, it’s not a joke. It’s very serious and you need to sit right there until a deputy gets there. You just sit right there. You’re fine."

Was the door kicked or was it unlocked and the guy was wandering around? If the later, he might claim mental defect and get the charges dropped.
