All of the following is reportedly, allegedly, etc. All criminal suspects are presumed innocent until found guilty in court.
In the metropolis of Bolivar, Missouri (southwest), the mother of a 20-year-old man with a history of mental illness called the police to report that he was "off his meds," and possibly planning antisocial acts.
Police picked up the man, who allegedly confessed to planning a mass shooting either at a showing of the movie "Twilight" or a local Walmart. He had not made up his mind.
During the past week he purchased two firearms and ammunition and went to practice shooting somewhere in the area.

I'm liking that Redbox thing more and more. I don't have to deal with people who talk during the movie, sticky floors, or $5 popcorn.

Re: MO: Possible mass shooting averted
If the facts reported bear a reasonable resemblance to what actually happened (which is always questionable in the media), then the man's mother surely did the right thing by reporting her suspicions to the police and possibly saved a lot of lives.
Here is a guy who changed his attack plan from the movie theater to Walmart. Why? Because if he ran out of his 400 rounds of ammo, then he was planning to use the Walmart ammo area to reload.![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Yepper, we enjoy our monthly subscription to NetFlix for the above reasons PLUS our monthly Netflix cost is less than the cost of going out to the picture show for just one evening per month and a lot less dangerous.seamusTX wrote:

I doubt he had a realistic idea of what he could or couldn't do with 400 rounds of ammo, or how long it would take the cops to get there with rifles. The article stated he had never fired a weapon before last week.Jumping Frog wrote:Because if he ran out of his 400 rounds of ammo, then he was planning to use the Walmart ammo area to reload.

I was starting to quote your entire statement to agree with you. Then I realized I could simply stop after the first seven words for an accurate statement.seamusTX wrote:I doubt he had a realistic idea ....
