If you say his name really fast with a Texas accent, it soulds like Marv-unlucky.

The shooting happened on the steps of the victim's house on South Lane and Wheatley Street at 2:40 a.m. Investigators said Marvin Lucky, 38, had just returned home from a nightclub when he was shot.
Nothing good happens after midnight.

The motive is unknown? It might be unknown to the police, but I bet Lucky knows why he was shot and possibly by who.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.
