I work in an operations center and have lots of live news streaming.

About 5 minutes ago, there was a live car chase in Arizona. At one point, the chase was on foot and the BG pulled out a pistol and shot himself on live TV.

I know this is from the Huffington Post, but they're the only people that have reported on it so far:

I was watching, and my stream crashed, when I got it back up Shepherd was white as a sheet and apologizing. Funny/sad thing is when Megan Kelley handed the hour off she was "giving him a gift" of the car chase.

I saw it and it was no big deal. A guy puts his hand to his head and falls forward.

TV shows and computer games have much more graphic, albeit simulated, violence to watch/see on an hourly basis 24/7.

Wasn't that bad.

I saw it live too. Shepard was hollering--cut that off-cut that off- went to a commercial. Came back & he explained how they had it on a 5 sec delay, but it happened so fast they couldn't stop it. he was apologizing repeatedly--and he's on again now, and apologized again

I missed this one. I saw the car chase in CA earlier. It probably wasn't that bad, but it was real.

I think they do consider him to be one of their liberals on Fox. I think I remember O'Reily talking with Koppel or someone and listed Shep as one of their more liberal guys.

ehhhh, Shep's somewhat Liberal, but I'm not sure what that has to do with this particular topic. It was a car chase.....they don't typically end with someone shooting themselves....if they do, there is typically a delay and it's not on air....often if there is a car chase on air my son will stop and watch if he's walking through the room, he's done this for years, I'm glad this didn't happen when he was younger, it probably would have been on....Shep was upset that it was shown on his show, that's his right....maybe he can help find a workable solution.
