I received the following in a campus crime alert:
At approximately 9:10 p.m. Monday, August 27, an SMU female student reported she was sexually assaulted by an unknown, white male, near the north entrance of the Carr Collins building in the Law Quad, near the 3300 block of Daniel Street.

The suspect is being described as wearing a dark hoodie, dark jeans and dark colored tennis shoes. The victim also said he had a deep voice that was raspy.
(The same information is also available at http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Woman- ... 35525.html)

Another predator hunting in a gun free zone.

This happened about 5 minutes after evening classes ended. Makes me sick that I was within a block of this when it happened and didn't see anything. I hope the victim recovers from the physical and emotional trauma of this attack. And I hope that some day our legislature will come to their senses and realize that prohibiting campus carry only helps those who prey on people who are physically weaker than them.

sad.

honestly, with the laws the way they are i think the college itself, the surrounding community or - heck, even the NRA should step up and very publicly issue every single female who attends classes on campus a taser or stun gun of some sort.

The sexual predators on campus can thank Gallegos and Lucio for their victims being disarmed.

And as Old Gringo might say, the rapist protecting legislators didn't elect themselves. :mad5
