Calls 911 and the police shows an hour later.

Police stress this was an extremely busy night.  Basically a perfect storm that slowed down their response time. Authorities said the All-Star Game had nothing to do with it, and that all patrols are at normal staffing levels all week long.

Sounds like we need to change the saying:

When seconds count, the police may be minutes or hours away, depending on how busy they are that night.

They said It took them so long because there had been 3 shootings in the area, so they didn't have time to look for a man with a gun right then ..... but on the 2nd 911 call ...after she reported that he had left they downgraded the cal ... I mighta asked which direction did he go .. you know, in case of a 4th shooting ...

Sounds like they may be understaffed or something
