Four people were killed less than a mile from where I slept last night. Over twenty bullets were fired into a crowd at 3:30 in the morning in a parking lot of a club.

I have never felt like I lived near a dangerous part of the world, but I guess I was wrong.

Nothing good ever happens after midnight.

:thumbs2: If I'm not in bed by 11pm, it's time to go home.

It's not the fault of the community but rather high-risk activity.

Alcohol, females with little clothing, Hip Hop culture, and late hours make for a powderkeg.

I live a good distance from that neighborhood, but I have to drive through it down the length of Gessner or Fondren on my way to 59 every day on the way to work. I'm not terribly surprised that something like this would happen around there... to say that it's sketchy is rather mild. Lots of clubs, lots of chop-shops. I agree that this is a bunch of drunken thugs thugging out on Juneteenth, but this would be a natural place for them to congregate.

My day job office is just a short distance west near Rogerdale and Harwin.

I'd say Harwin is a bit sketchy until close to the Fort Bend County line.

It's all statistics... Bad things happen in "dangerous" parts of the world more often than in "non-dangerous" parts, but that doesn't mean bad things can't happen even in the safest areas.
