The above link contains a short interview with the Fort Worth pastor who had to shoot a burglar
who broke into his home.

The somewhat snarky comments from the news writer brings up the timing/pursuit angle.

The pastor managed to put 2 rounds into the BG's car. It's unknown if the BG was shot in the house, or in his car,
but one of the bullets went through the front windshield in front of the steering wheel.

The BG's car was a decent looking, navy blue Nissan Altima. Not like the beater that you would expect a burglar
to drive.
