This doesn't bode well ...

Nine days after a golfer was hit by a stray gunshot while playing Mission Del Lago municipal golf course on the South Side, officials decided to shut down the popular facility Tuesday after reports of a another bullet whizzing over the heads of players.
Police still have not determined where that bullet originated.

The operator of a nearby shooting range, A Place to Shoot, was questioned.
EDITED TO ADD: See locations of golf course and shooting range on Google map link - zoom in on satellite image of range and direction of fire is directly at the golf course

Looks like the range decided to close the rifle range for a while.

"Jim Roschek, CEO and president of the Alamo City Golf Trail, which supervises the city courses, said Tuesday that two Mission Del Lago workers were playing Monday evening near the 15th hole when they heard what they described as a rifle shot, followed by the sound of a bullet overhead."

Bullet was subsonic according to this and traveled at least a mile and was over head of the workers.

this isn't the first time this has happened....this happened about a month or so ago, man almost died. The police chief is wondering if someone is hunting on their own private land???? if so the that means they can't control their gun and bullets! I hate they've closed the rifle ranges, seems like the two places have lived together fine for quite a while, something has changed in the last couple of months, someone's going to have to figure out what.
