On a second note road rage is such a stupid thing.

Some 24 yrs ago, I had almost the same case not a road rage, but....., I let go of the BG, after I was pistol wiped on my head by the BG, did not let go for that, but because I would be in the crossfire if I did not.

Besides the obvious with this story... here's part that was odd to me.

"As police tried to separate the two men, they noticed the 42-year-old was having trouble breathing and called paramedics. The man was taken to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, where he was pronounced dead."

That hospital is a LONG way from where this incident took place. There are plenty of hospitals MUCH closer including the entire Med Center which is literally the world's largest medical center. I guess they didn't think it was serious?? Strange.

Good point, didn't think about that. Of course, always leave open the possibility that the press got the facts screwed up.

Are any of those in-between hospitals trauma centers? If so did they have room for another patient? The closest hospital is not always the one able to handle a particular type of injury, and some times they get full and divert ambulances to other places.

I am estimating there were probably a dozen or more trauma centers nearby. What are the odds that 'none' had room?

I'm not exaggerating when I say that they passed the world's largest medical center to take him to the opposite side of town. In good traffic, that drive is about 25 minutes to that hospital. There are several hospitals by NASA, downtown, and the med center, all much closer.

It could be that the press was wrong as stated above, but that just NEVER happens, right??

If they were accurate though, it's a very weird scenario.

This could have ended better had Darling been carrying, as merely displaying a weapon would have most likely ended the fight and both would be alive today.

Sarah Brady is a piece of worthless trash who has shamelessly exploited (or more likely manipulated to do so) a personal tragedy. She defifles the name of a great TV family I grew up with.

That being said, most of us are for more likely to encounter bad guys in this manner than through robbery, home invasion, or other crimes, and the chances are good that no shots would need to be fired. In this case, I truly believe a gun in level-headed hands would have saved a life.
