I thought they didn't allow weapons in schools--especially in Illinois

Stabbing last night in Montrose. Man with the legal weapon called 911 and waited for police (obviously he has been reading this forum). However police arrested him as they did not believe that the knife accidentally went off while showing it to his friend.

Man stabbed in parking lot. So that would be 2 murders by knife vs 1murder and 1 wounding by gun in Houston last night.

Absolutely, or a screwdriver, pipe wrench, ice pick, table leg, piece of rope, hammer, pick handle, piece of rebar, sharp stick... The list could go on all day.

Last night in the Houston area:

Gun- 1 wounded vs Non gun- 1 dead.

Neither incident last night was by a criminal.

The wounding by gun was a wife shooting her husband. He could have deserved it. Although she was later arrested.

The non gun was a non lethal Taser fired by a police officer in the line of duty, for the citizen's own protection. Subject may have been on drugs. Autopsy is pending.

Good thing to remember that Tasers are classified as "less lethal"... less than a bullet. But still lethal in a lot of cases.

Gun- 1 dead, 1 wounded vs. Non-gun 0 dead 0 wounded.

Another shot while driving, second in two days. Apartment projects seem to be a place to avoid at night. Fortunately the girl scout was not seriously injured attempting to stop the robbery at her cookie stand in front of Walmart. Purse snatchings in the parking lot of Walmarts seem to happen almost everyday.

Last night and today in Houston:

Gun - 3 dead, 1 wounded vs. Non gun - 1 dead, 1 wounded

The non gun death was by bare hands after a traffic accident and the 1 wounded was with a machete to the hands and head. The witness described the machete incident that occurred at work "an accident". The victim was life flighted.
