Drive Thru Convenience Store Owner Shoots BG

Story here: http://www.local12.com/news/local/story ... fkrDA.cspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The store had recently upgraded their surveillance system resulting in some reasonably clear video that's worth watching.

Note that the armed BG (there are 2, only one had a gun) tries to shoot the clerk in the back.
So much for the notion that cooperating with an armed thug is a good survival plan.

Also worth noting that the armed BG was hit several times, including once to the stomach, and still managed to keep moving.

Wow. That wasn't like Hollywood at all! :???:

You can see the owner shooting at the BG before he even enters the picture. I'd bet at least one of those shots him him, along with the shots fired as he's much closer. You can see the the owner is standing in a nice position and taking aim. He's not frantic like you usually see in these types of scenarios. 2 shots to the torso, and 1 to the arm and one to the leg, and he runs off as if nothing happened.

My only arm-chair-QB comment (that I'm making from the comfort of my home, in front of my computer, while sipping cocoa) is that if I owned a place like that, in my office, there would be a quick-access long gun available for any time that I had to run onto the store floor and stop a threat. Also, he needs to learn to 'move off the X' when engaging. Regardless, nice job mr. owner! :fire And thank God the clerk wasn't killed. :hurry:

In a defense situation, if you're shooting, you better be moving. Otherwise you are a target yourself. The owner is lucky none of the BG's rounds hit him.

This is also a perfect example of the fact you probably aren't gonna stop someone with a handgun shot unless you get lucky and hit the central nervous system or a major organ. The BG was hit with 4 rounds and continued out and down the street until he called to get help. And the majority of those shots I will bet were at the almost point blank distance.

Boy the bullet that struck just to the left of the Owner was too close for comfort. He could have utilized cover better. Glad the good guys prevailed and the scum wound up shot and in jail.

Any idea what size round the owner was using? Watched the video on my phone so I can't tell much about who was carrying what.
