Thats it!! I'm going to switch my daily carry caliber to .45acp!

A .22 can kill him just as dead, but there is no doubt that the odds of his expiring more rapidly with a .45 go up considerably.....

....that said......

if it took four cops, two tazers, and however many sets of handcuffs to subdue this guy, a couple of bullets might not have done it either, regardless of caliber (and I'm a big believer in .45 ACP). A determined and deranged attacker can shake off the effects of a gunshot wound almost instantly, at least for a temporary period until his body succumbs to the physiological effects of the wounds. Someone operating entirely out of the Limbic Ring can delay that process for some period. The only way to ensure a quick STOP for a guy like that is to turn off his lights at the master control panel.

Be prepared for the fallout, even if you're 100% in the right and the cops agree with that.

I'm sorry, this story should make me laugh.. but I can't help myself. I support the defense of your property and all... but the in the heck would you confront a naked 300 lb bodybuilder?

It looks like they could've seen him when they drove up. Article also states that the couple's 10 year old son was with them.

Based on the police response I guess it is a common occurrence to have naked men acting violent in California.

So ... California legislature soon will regulate and/or prohibit nakedness -- Perhaps a minimum of 11 articles of clothing must be worn at all times -- only 10 articles, and one would be in violation!

The way the story SHOULD have read.

COLTON, Calif.—Police say a naked, 300-pound bodybuilder savagely attacked a Southern California couple at their home, leaving them shaken at the encounter, but safe and in good health..
The local newspaper says 22-year-old Ruben Arzu apparently was under the influence of steroids and other drugs, and it took four police officers, two body bags and four deputy’s to carry him away.
Police say the couple came home late Saturday to find Arzu naked on the front porch of their home in Colton.
When Arzu was confronted by the 35-year-old husband, from a safe distance while his wife secured the young boy with them and called 911 police say the bodybuilder attacked the man, causing the husband to draw his concealed weapon and shoot the deranged man in the head causing severe trauma.
The man’s wife having called 911. Police say Arzu then bled slowly on the ground until police and medical help arrived..
Arzu was not booked on suspicion of attempted homicide as he had died prior to the police arriving.

Doesn't California prohibit high capacity closets that can hold more than 10 pieces of clothing?
