Good Samaritan's Family Shot

I've seen comments from time to time about how it might be dangerous to step in to protect someone, but this is the first news story I've encountered to support that caution since I've obtained my CHL. There is no indication this Good Samaritan was a CHL, but the idea is the same...intervene and you may be targeted for revenge.

hope they catch that dirtbag quick - though i have a sneaky feeling he's probably in another country now.

That sucks. About 15 years ago here in town a guy pulled over to help what he thought was a stranded motorist one night. One of the guys in the "stranded" car pulled out a gun and robbed him. He gave up his wallet and everything without fighting or arguing with the robber. After the robber had all of his stuff he executed the good samaritan on the side of the road. Made me rethink helping strangers.
