ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (Reuters) - A Florida woman who allegedly claimed to be a vampire has been charged with battery after violently biting a man in a wheelchair on his face and arms, police said on Friday.
Milton Ellis, 69, told police in St. Petersburg, Florida, that he and Josephine Smith, 22, met on the street and went to the porch of a vacant restaurant to get out of the rain. He said he fell asleep in his motorized wheelchair and woke up to find Smith on top of him.

Uh-huh.

As they say, I was born at night, but not last night.

In case anyone doesn't know, vampire novels, movies, and TV shows are enormously popular with the younger generation. No doubt some mentally unstable people are deluded into thinking they are vampires or victims of vampires, or something related.

I have to agree.

I've never fallen asleep under a roof overhang on a rainy day in the company of a stranger I just met either.

It sounds to me like a personal services transaction gone awry....
