The following is from the college police department, emailed to students:
At about 9:00 am this morning an armed robbery was committed against a student of our college. This crime was committed in the courtyard area between the Student Services Building and the W Building. No one was harmed but a weapon was involved. The victim advises that the actor (robber), a black male, in his mid 40's, approximately 5' 10" tall, thin build with short braided hair and a small goatee wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans that had a couple tears in the fabric, and a black mesh baseball cap. The actor also had a right leg limp when he walked. The victim advised that the actor walked up to him asking the time. He told the actor the time and that is when the actor walked up to him and pulled a small silver revolver (gun) out of his pocket and placed it against the victims stomach. At that time the victim was forced to give up 45 dollars in cash.
