The war in Mexico continues to escalate. It is a matter of time before we see people fleeing north to the US to escape the war there.
If this had happened in any other country it would have been news. Makes you wonder when the ideas of say a Ron Paul will be taken seriously.

Was there any doubt that Calderón would blame the U.S.?

MEXICO CITY — Mexican President Felipe Calderón charged Friday that the U.S. government, along with American drug consumers and gun dealers, was partly responsible for the deaths of 52 people killed in an arson attack at a casino in Monterrey.

Well, Calderon has a point about the US Government and drug users being complicit in the violence. But the gun dealers are not to blame.
The US Government is complicit in that for political reasons they will not secure the border and with BATFE partaking in operations like "Fast and Furious" allowing the smuggling of weapons into Mexico by known criminals the US Government is guilty.
Drug abusers and those who approve of and help them import and use illegal drugs are also to blame. It is not a harmless habit.
Calderon also has to lay the blame at the feet of the Mexican people who for years have ignored the drug Cartels because it was profitable to do so. Mexico is a corrupt country from the highest positions to the local police who look the other way when the drug Cartels are in town. They are now pay for years of corruption and are looking for someone to blame, other than themselves.

That's true but that's also the pot calling the kettle black.

One more thing. US gun dealers are responsible for arson in Mexico half as much as Calderon is responsible for every murder in North America and Europe.
