CA: 2 shot at 49ers game, beatings

In San Francisco Saturday a man was shot and seriously wounded while leaving Candlestick park after a 49ers-Oakland Raiders game. The victim was reportedly wearing a shirt that said "[bleep] The 49ers."

A suspect is in custody.

Another man was shot earlier at the same game. Police say the shootings may be related.

There also have been severe beatings at football games in California, specifically of fans of one team by fans of another.

Obviously, aside from committing aggravated assault or attempted murder, the perpetrators of these crimes did not legally possess weapons.

How's that "gun control" thing working for you, Golden State?

Note also that in Texas a CHL holder could not have been carrying a handgun in these circumstances, because they were professional sports events.

That's why the entire spectrum of defensive posture and non-firearms weapons is important.
